Songfacts®:

  • In an interview with Forbes, singer-songwriter Josh Rouse explains the inspiration for this tune from Love In The Modern Age, an album inspired by '80s Britpop: "I think when I was working on a lyric it went back and forth between busy man and businessman. I was traveling between Spain and Nashville a lot to work on the record. And of course when you do that you're flying a lot and checking in luggage with all the businessmen. So that's kind of where the idea came from. And just how hard it is, I'm sure businessmen and musicians, maintaining a home life and working if you have to travel all the time, that's kind of the theme of that song."
