  • Best known for his melancholic rhymes centered on his depression, anxiety and drug dependency, this song finds Juice Wrld in a rare celebratory mood. Here, he raps about the positive aspects of his fame and fortune.

    Money goin' into real estate
    Life's good, life's great
    Stomach big, I already ate

He's even making progress battling his mental health issues.

Workin' out my demons, they in better shape
Demons on my back, get them away from me
  • Interscope dropped "Real S--t" on December 2, 2020, on what would have been the late rapper's 22nd birthday. The track marked Juice's second official release after this first posthumous album, Legends Never Die, and was preceded by August 2020's The Weeknd-assisted "Smile."
  • Benny Blanco handled the production, marking his third collaboration with Juice WRLD following 2018's "Roses" (featuring Brendon Urie) and 2019's "Graduation."
  • Blanco and Juice recorded the track back in 2017 before the Chicago rapper even had a record deal. The producer explained on Twitter that he first came across Juice after his friend played him one of his early cuts. Blanco told him, "It was one of the best songs I had ever heard." His friend was unsure of the artist's name, recalling it "was Juice or something," so he searched on Instagram and found Juice's page. At the time the rapper had just 9,000 followers.

Blanco DMed him about collaborating and Juice replied he was coming to LA in a week's time; the producer booked a studio, and they recorded six songs that night. "Real S--t" was the first one and "Roses" was another of the tracks.

"It was the first time I saw his magic," the producer said. "The whole room dropped their jaws and watched him in awe. We knew we were in the room with a man who was going to change music forever. He went in the booth and recorded a song top to bottom in one take."

Blanco added: "Then he did it three more times and said pick the best one, and they were all perfect songs... he was an absolute genius to say the least but above all he was one of the kindest and most considerate people I have ever met. He was my friend. Happy birthday Juice... we miss u."
  • This is one of two Juice WRLD collaborations that Benny Blanco included on his 2021 Friends Keep Secrets 2 record, along with "Graduation."
