Songfacts®:

  • "Available" is a sultry love song in which Justin Bieber sings of his strong sensual dependency on his wife Hailey. Even when she's doing other things he wants her to drop what she's doing, come over and spend intimate time with him.

I get frustrated when you're busy
Lately that's been more than often, baby, what is this?

Justin questions what he perceives as Hailey's extended absence as he worries he may lose her. While most of the Changes tracks find the Canadian star expressing his outright adoration for his wife, here there's a reminder that love isn't always picture perfect.
  • "Available" features production by Justin's songwriting partner Poo Bear and music director HARV. However, there is a third, more unexpected name on the credits: NBA center JaVale McGee.

HARV explained to Billboard that McGee plays the piano and produces. Poo Bear had a small snippet of something that McGee had done and he told HARV: "I want you and JaVale to take this little piece that JaVale did, and then take it to the next level." So HARV took one of Bieber's a cappellas from Poo Bear titled "Available" and added some bells and whistles, "with JaVale McGee sprinkled on it."
  • McGee has some other production credits in his resumé. The basketball star also co-produced Bazzi's 2019 song "Soul Searching" and Quando Rondo's 2020 collaboration with 2 Chainz and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, "Bad Vibe." In addition, McGee released in 2018 an album titled PIERRE.
