Speaking at a listening session, Moore pointed out that even though he co-wrote the song, it's not autobiographical: His father is actually a teetotaler.
Moore co-wrote the song alongside Paul DiGiovanni, Chase McGill and Jeremy Stover. The same quartet of writers also penned the Late Nights and Longnecks lead single "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home ."
