Songfacts®:

  • Justin Timberlake duets with Alicia Keys on this sultry ode to romantic contentment.

'Cause I'm in love with you
Laying here in the morning light
And all I want to do is hold you tight just one more night
  • This was the first collaboration between the pair for 16 years. The twosome previously worked together when Timberlake featured on the Neptunes' remix of Keys' "How Come You Don't Call Me" in 2002.
  • The song was co-penned by Chris Stapleton. The country artist co-wrote two other tracks on Man of the Woods: "Say Something" and "The Hard Stuff." He also appears in the guitar lines of another song, "Filthy."
  • The song was co-produced by Rob Knox, who also was behind the console for Timberlake's collaborations with T.I. ("Dead and Gone)," Ciara ("Love Sex Magic") and Jamie Foxx ("Winner").

"That one happened so fast," Knox recalled to Billboard. "The vibe was so right and it felt so good and creativity was at an all-time high with some extremely talented people. First there was a chord progression, some drums, Elliott (Ives) started playing the guitar, and Justin and Chris Stapleton started writing the song in front of our eyes. I would say in a half hour the song was there. It was one of those things where it was like, 'Whoa, where did that come from?'"
