Songfacts®:

  • This is the first single from Unbroken, the sophomore album of American Idol season five runner-up, Katharine McPhee. The song was penned by former Evanescence member David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry), lead singer of the band SR-71 Mitch Allan and Idol judge Kara DioGuardi. The latter two's previous collaborations include the 2009 American Idol victory song "No Boundaries" and Hannah Montana's Top 10 song "He Could Be The One."
  • McPhee told the US tabloid TV program Extra the song is about "a girl that went out to look for a different love and thought that she could find something better and realized at the end 'Wow, I really had it all.'"
