Songfacts®:

  • This song features London grime MCs J Hus and D Double E. Katy B explained to NME: "I grew up listening to grime on (TV station) Channel U. It's by young people, for young people. I wanted that represented on my album."
  • The song was produced by The Heavytrackerz, who are a group of record producers from East London consisting of Lord Teedot, G.Tank and RasEye. The trio are best known for Meridian Dan's debut single "German Whip," which peaked in the UK at #13.
  • G.Tank told Fader: "We have strong feelings about R&G [R&B-meets-grime], we're big fans of it, so when this came about it was like, yeah, sick - incorporating female singers on such heavy, bass-orientated music."
  • D Double E said regarding his contribution: "The R&G vibe makes everything more fully rounded. You don't have to be into grime for the erratic stuff - you can be into it for feeling nice, feeling wavy.

I had a place in my mind when I wrote my verse - it was looking plush, there was champagne. Like, have you ever been to Dubai? Every club is over the top... it feels like a palace. I do a lot of underground clubs where the floor is wet and people throw beers, so that plushness is different for me."
