Songfacts®:

  • This Aussie-tribute song was written by the two Australian singers - Keith Urban and Olivia-Newton John - after meeting at a songwriting retreat in a castle owned by Miles Copeland (brother of Stewart Copeland from The Police). They discovered they were both reading the same book, A Sunburned Country at the time.
  • When writing this song, Keith and Olivia's schedules were so hectic, they ended up meeting in Nashville during their separate concert tours, then finished writing it and recording it in one day. >>>
