Songfacts®:

  • This lighthearted song about hooking up with an ex-girlfriend has been a crowd favorite at Keith Urban concerts for many years. However it was never released as a single until in 2008, when Urban re-recorded the song to promote his live DVD. Urban explained: "Over the years it has always played like a hit song. That, combined with numerous requests from both fans and radio about why it was never a single, inspired us to get back into the studio and re-record the song."
  • This was written by Mark Nesler, Tom Shapiro, and Tony Martin. Nesler and Martin are best known for writing together Tim McGraw's 1997 country smash "Just To See You Smile." Shapiro is a four-time BMI Country Songwriter of the Year (1993, '96, 97, 2002) and NSAI's first ever Songwriter of the Decade for the '90s. Among the many hits he's penned are "Wink," for Neal McCoy and "Ain't Nothing 'Bout You" for Brooks & Dunn.
  • This song moved to the #1 spot on Hot Country Songs four years, one month and four weeks after making its debut on the chart, thus breaking the record for the longest time to get to achieve pole position after making its debut. The song originally spent one week on the chart in 2004 thanks to its airplay but it was only when a re-recorded version of returned to the survey in 2008 that it began its climb to the top.
  • Martin told AOL about the writing of this song: "I had the title to the song, and Tom had a story idea to go with it. Tom has the best barometer of what people really like. With this song's second verse, Mark and I had something different going and Tom let us go, but the whole time he was saying, 'I don't know.' Then Keith called and asked if we could change the second verse. That's when Tom said he had an idea, and we were all ears."
