Songfacts®:

  • This is the lead single from The Hunter, the debut solo EP of Kele Okereke, who is the singer in the rock band Bloc Party. The seven-track record is the follow-up to his first solo album, The Boxer.
  • This song is a duet with classically trained singer Lucy Taylor, who was a finalist in BBC Radio 2's "Young Chorister of the Year" in 2009 before becoming a mainstay in his touring band. "It was inspired by all those classic duets," Kele told NME, "like 'Especially For You' by Kylie and Jason or Cerys Matthews and that guy from Space."
  • The song was produced by Brooklyn-based XXXChange, who was also the knob twiddler on The Boxer.
