Songfacts®:

  • This single by Electro/R&B singer Kelis received its first play during the June 30, 2012 show of The Beatnik Mix on London's Reprezent 107.3FM.
  • The song was produced by Skream, who is best known for being a member of UK dubstep group Magnetic Man, whose hits include "I Need Air" and "Perfect Stranger." His "Let's Get Ravey" re-mix of La Roux's "In for the Kill" was chosen by BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe as his record of the year for 2009.
  • Kelis told NME the story of the song: "I was working with a friend of mine," she explained "and she said 'Skream's got this great track for you, can I get him to send it?' So I said yes and then he sent that track and something else. I've been on a real 1990s vibe with this record, it's kind of trip-hoppish. So I wrote a track to that."
