Songfacts®:

  • This call-and-response nod to Rockabilly is one of six songs on Kelis' Food album that have culinary-themed titles. Kelis told The Sun that she never specifically decided on a food theme, they just all came together that way. "The titles of the songs were put on as working titles, then the title of the album came later," she said. "Someone asked me what I wanted to call it an flippantly I was like, 'Food.' And then I thought, 'You know, that's a perfect name - I'm gonna keep it.'"
