Songfacts®:

  • This is the third single by the American Pop-Rock singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson from her Stronger album. It finds Clarkson revealing her vulnerable side as she pleads with a guy to embrace her flaws. "Everybody's got a dark side, do you love me; can you love mine?," she sings. When Kelly revealed this as her third single to Z100's Danielle Monaro, she said she likes the song because it is slower and sweet-sounding.
  • Busbee and Alex G wrote the track. Michael Busbee is an American songwriter, record producer and musician from the San Francisco Bay area. His other credits include Timbaland featuring Katy Perry's "If We Ever Meet Again," Rascal Flatts' "Summer Nights" and Lady Antebellum's "Our Kind Of Love." Russian born, German based songwriter/producer Alex G's father is world-famous cellist David Geringas and his mother, pianist Tatjana Schatz. Alex G has carved a reputation as a successful international songwriter having worked with such artists as The Veronicas, No Angels, Sarah Connor, and Kim Wilde and penned #1 hits in Japan, Germany and Austria.
