Songfacts®:

  • This slick, soulful track finds Kelly Rowland reuniting with her Destiny's Child colleagues, Beyoncé and Michelle Williams, though the recording didn't involve the trio in the studio at the same time. It was the first collaboration between the threesome since they recorded "Nuclear" for the Destiny's Child compilation Love Songs. "Destiny's Child is the foundation of who I am - how I started. I respect Destiny's Child," Rowland told Radio.com. "I have actually collaborated with my sisters Beyoncé and Michelle on the album and I'm so excited for people to hear this record. It was produced by Harmony and written by Courtney Harrell and our voices sound so great together on this record."
  • Regarding the song's meaning, Rowland explained: "It's basically about a relationship that's gone awry. It's just really not in the best place. The way the record is written is really genius."

"I tip my hat to Courtney Harrell," she added, "because the way she is witty and sarcastic lyrically just made me so excited to sing it."
  • Rowland insisted to Billboard magazine that she didn't want the song to be labeled as a Destiny's Child track, saying: "It's not a Destiny's Child track, it's me featuring Beyoncé and Michelle."
