Songfacts®:

  • This is a song from Kesha's 2010 EP Cannibal. Originally planned to only be part of a re-release of Animal, the record was instead released both as a deluxe edition of her debut album as well as a stand alone EP.
  • This club banger fits in with Kesha's hedonistic, party-anthem oeuvre. "I don't wanna go places that my ladies can't get in. Grab a bottle, some boys and let's take it back to my basement. And get Sleazy," she sing-raps.
  • The song was produced by Shondrae "Mr. Bangladesh" Crawford, whose credits include Beyoncé's "Diva" and Lil Wayne's "A Milli" as well as tracks by Nelly, Gucci Mane and Ludacris.
  • The official remix, "Sleazy Remix 2.0: Get Sleazier," was released as a single on December 13, 2011. It features André 3000, Lil Wayne, T.I., and Wiz Khalifa. According to Kesha, the four rhymers are included on the remix because they are four of her favorite rappers. "These were all kind of on my wish list of people to work with in the future," she told MTV News. "Dr. Luke and I had this idea that we wanted to just get them all on one track and make it as gangster of a track as we possibly could."
