Songfacts®:

  • This new wave flavored track finds Caleb Followill singing about falling in love with a ghost. The song was inspired by Followill's wife, Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge, being convinced her LA hotel was haunted, He explained to Q magazine:

"She stayed in this hotel in Los Angeles. This is going to sound weird and a lot of people will roll their eyes, but she felt like it was haunted. When she tells the story, it's the scariest thing. So I took that and turned it into a love story. What if there was this ghost and either this ghost loves you, or you loved the ghost?"
