  • King's X close out their Three Sides Of One album with "Every Everywhere," a song musically inspired by the Beatles with the sentiment of classic togetherness tracks like "What the World Needs Now Is Love" and "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing."

"For me, the whole record is dark – I like to write about dark things," King's X frontman Dug Pinnick said in a Songfacts track by track. This record, there's a lot of darkness, but not a lot of hope. I thought that the whole world is crying to love everyone, and I thought that was the 'butterflies' to put on the cake when it was done."
  • Three Sides Of One was the first album from King's X in 14 years. They never broke up, but drummer Jerry Gaskill had two heart attacks, and his bandmates Dug Pinnick and Ty Tabor took on various solo projects. They started working on the album in 2019, but it was delayed by the pandemic. Their producer, Michael Parnin, helped pull it together.

"He steered the boat," Pinnick told Songfacts. "We trusted him. It's not like he sat down and said, 'Do this, do that.' It was sort of like whatever we suggested, he exhausted it. And as a result of it, we are really, really excited about this record – because we just came in and did us, and he came in and pieced it all together and really made a musical masterpiece in my mind."
