  • As we later learned from Cee Lo Green, "forget" and "f--k" can be interchangeable. On this Kiss rocker, Paul Stanley sings, "I just wanna f..." before completing the line with "forget you."

But we all know what he really means. After all, he has a "body built for sin and an appetite for passion." He won't satisfy that burning desire by forgetting her.
  • This was one of three songs on the Revenge album that Vinnie Vincent co-wrote (in this case with Stanley). Vincent was the lead guitarist with Kiss from 1982, when he replaced Ace Frehley, until 1984. According to Gene Simmons, Vincent asked to write songs for the album, but after the work was done, their relationship soured and Vincent was never again part of any Kiss projects.
  • Paul Rachman, who also directed the videos for the Revenge tracks "Unholy" and "Domino," did the video for this song as well. "We had to do 'I Just Wanna' while the band was on tour," he said in a Songfacts interview. "We only had one day with them in London while they were touring, so I had to come up with an idea we could do in one day. It was a Paul Stanley song, and it was pop-y. The previous song ["Unholy"] was really, really dark - it was a dark void kind of atmosphere - so I went in the opposite direction. And that video was accomplishable to shoot in one day on a stage in London."
  • Revenge was the last Kiss album produced by Bob Ezrin, who first worked with the band on their 1976 breakthrough, Destroyer. Ezrin produced the Pink Floyd albums The Wall, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and The Division Bell, as well as many of Alice Cooper's albums.
