Songfacts®:

  • In 2018, Nash Chagonda, a partner in Krept and Konan's Croydon dessert restaurant Crepes & Cones, took his own life. The rap duo was especially close to their "broski" Nash, and this song is their tribute to him.
  • Asked by Q magazine how difficult it was to write the song, Krept replied: "It's us just thinking out loud. He passed away in May and that one was written at the end of the year so we could gather our thoughts. But If I had to write something in a week after he passed. I could because music's like therapy."
  • Konan told the BBC they wrote the song to "change the perspective" on mental health. "I feel like a lot of people suffer from it, but they keep it to themselves," he explained. "A lot of people aren't confident to reach out and talk about what they're going through. So if you're listening to our music and you hear us talking about it, maybe it'll make you think, 'The people I look up to are talking about it, so I don't [need to] feel scared'."
