Songfacts®:

  • "Houdini" is an afroswing/hip hop club banger released by KSI, featuring fellow British rapper Tion Wayne and singer Swarmz.
  • The song's title refers to renowned magician and escape artist Harry Houdini. His most difficult stunt involved him remaining in a sealed tank, submerged in the swimming pool of New York's Hotel Shelton for 91 minutes before escaping.

KSI uses the legendary escape artist's name to connect with his description of engaging in wild sex with a female. She was "talking bad" about him, then when the rapper magically appeared she changed her tune.
  • KSI previously compared himself to the escape artist in his 2015 single "Lamborghini." On that song he described himself driving the titular vehicle "so quick, you would think I'm Houdini."
  • The bouncy beat comes courtesy of AJProductions and Jacob Manson, who is a member of the Bristol-based DJ duo Blonde.
  • Shot in March 2020 in London before lockdown, the Kaylum-directed visual displays scenes of the trio flexing around an expensive car accompanied by models.
