Songfacts®:

  • British singer-songwriter Tom Grennan joins KSI for this drum & bass-inspired track about a dying romance. Though their relationship is toxic, the two artists don't want to end it. KSI and Grennan want the girl to let them show her its "not over yet."
  • Besides his music career, KSI is also a boxer. He released "Not Over Yet" on August 5, 2022 to get people ready for his fight against Alex Wassabi at London's The O2 arena three weeks later. "This is a song that amplifies my 'never give up' attitude," KSI said. "Whether it's to do with love or being back in the ring."
  • In May 2022, after releasing his first two albums with RBC Records and BMG, KSI announced he'd signed with Atlantic Records and Warner Music UK. It followed his successful "Don't Play" collaboration with Anne-Marie on Warner. "Not Over Yet" is KSI's first single with his new label.
  • KSI and Tom Grennan wrote "Not Over Yet" with:

KSI's go-to producer Digital Farm Animals ("Don't Play," "Patience" and "Holiday").

Richard Boardman, co-writer of "Don't Play." A former Delphic member and founder member of the Manchester-based songwriting collective The Six, Boardman's other credits include Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne's "Real Love," Louis Tomlinson and Bebe Rexha's "Back to You," and Marshmello and Jonas Brothers' "Leave Before You Love Me."

The songwriting and producing duo Billen Ted. The pair, comprising Tom Hollings and Sam Brennan, were also involved with Nathan Evans' 2021 chart-topping version of "Soon May The Wellerman Come" and James Newman's 2021 UK Eurovision entry "Embers."

US-born and London-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sara Boe.

Digital Farm Animals and Billen Ted also produced the track.
