Songfacts®:

  • This song originated with a hook written by British singer-songwriters MNEK and KABBA. The pair also collaborated on Duke Dumont's #1 UK single "Need U (100%)," for which KABBA provided the vocals under her former name of A*M*E.

MNEK and KABBA gave their chorus to KSI, who added two verses where he tries to persuade his love interest to hook up with him.
  • Nick Gale, a.k.a. Digital Farm Animals, came up with the beat. Gale's other credits include hit singles by Dua Lipa ("Be The One"), Cheat Codes ("Only You"), and Galantis ("No Money").
  • Digital Farm Animals' house-infused production gives KSI a more upbeat sound to his usual hip-hop music. It also gave him the idea to recruit his childhood hero Craig David to perform the chorus, giving it more of a garage feel. KSI and David worked on the track by messaging each other through WhatsApp.
  • DJ Pied Piper and the Masters of Ceremonies all get credited because "Really Love" samples their 2001 UK garage hit "Do You Really Like It."
  • Troy Roscoe ("Netflix & Chill") directed the video, which features all three artists at a ski resort dressed in winter gear.
