The Bleachers lead singer and frequent Taylor Swift producer previously collaborated with Del Rey on 11 of the 14 songs on her Norman Rockwell album.
• Del Rey first mentioned the song during an October 2019 interview with Q magazine just two months after the release of Norman Rockwell. She said at the time: "There's just something about it. I feel like it's going to be really important, but I don't know why yet. That's where the magic comes in."
