Songfacts®:

  • Lana Del Rey recorded "Yes To Heaven" around 2013 for her third album, Ultraviolence, but it didn't make the cut. Various iterations of the song have circulated on the Internet since 2016, including an outtake from her Honeymoon album that leaked in May 2021. Del Rey finally released the song under the title of "Say Yes To Heaven" on May 18, 2023, the Day of the Ascension of Christ. The official version is different from earlier leaks.
  • Del Rey is addressing a man she's enamored with, entreating him to give her a chance. She will wait for her beloved if he departs for a while and will do anything to please him. If the object of her affection agrees to be with her, she will make him so happy, he'll feel like he's in heaven.
  • Though Del Rey never officially released "Yes To Heaven," it became popular in 2022 on TikTok. Many creators used the part for their videos where the singer admits to focusing her entire attention on her love interest.
