Songfacts®:

  • This song finds Andy Brown singing about finally reuniting with someone to give a relationship a second chance. The Lawson vocalist wrote the song with Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub who have also penned many of One Direction's hit tunes.
  • This was the fourth single from Lawson's debut studio album, Chapman Square. "We're really excited to release 'Learn To Love Again'," said bass player Ryan Fletcher promoting the song's release. "It's a bit different to previous singles and it's one we love performing live. It's got our usual guitars and drums sound but with a dance element - we hope that it will appeal to everyone."
  • Regarding the album title, Andy Brown explained: "Chapman Square is a very important place for us. It may sound strange to you guys, but it's basically where we first met as a band, first did our rehearsals, first did our writing sessions together. It was also where I used to live in a very important relationship which is outlined on the album and some of our previous singles, so it's a very important place."
  • This was released as Lawson's debut single in the US. "It was an important single in the UK," Brown told Billboard magazine. "That was the song where we transitioned to an older audience - because of the way we look, we used to get a lot of young girls coming to the shows, and then we started to get the guys and older people on board, and I think 'Learn To Love Again' was an important song for doing that."
