Songfacts®:

  • LCD Soundsystem leader James Murphy told the story of this song to The NME May 18, 2010: "I was feeling a little bit taxed by humans and having panic attacks about working on 'All I Want.' I inebriated myself with anti-anxiety medication and went swimming. In the middle of the night I had a song in my head, and luckily I had a rolling 909 drum machine with a little tiny guitar amp on my piano in my bedroom. I didn't actually remember recording the song at all."
