Songfacts®:

  • This story song with a twist was written by Lee Ann Womack with Adam Wright, whose uncle is Alan Jackson. Womack admitted to Billboard:

"We had the idea to write that song, and it talks about having a .38 special, and I just had to make sure that it was honest for me. Then, by the time you get to the end of the song, you realize that it's about a mom protecting her kids. We wrote that on a writing trip out in Southern California, and it turned out to be one of my favorite tracks we did when we were cutting the record."

  • Countryboy94Omg, I listened to this song and for a song that was co-written by Lee Ann, she sounds like badass singing this and it's quite of a cute sexy song by Lee Ann Womack.
