Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from American Country music artist Lee Brice's debut studio album, Love Like Crazy. He co-wrote the cut with Rob Hatch and Lance Miller.
  • Brice explained to The Frederick News-Post that this song is based on the true story of "an old redneck buddy" who attended a wedding on the beach. He told Brice that "the beach is beautiful every time I see it." The Nashville artist went on to note that the song talks about other simple things that are beautiful whether it's the first time you see them or after a lifetime of seeing them. "Those simple things are some of the most beautiful," he said.
  • Brice told The Boot that after his songwriting buddy Rob Hatch returned to his hometown in Florida for a wedding, he realized just how much he had missed the beaches and the sand dunes. This gave Hatch the idea for this cut. "It's such a true song. We put his story in the song just like he told me, and then we took it to other places in the second verse. It really is a universal song."
