Songfacts®:

  • This was the only new song on Kravitz' Greatest Hits album. It helped the album sell over 3 million copies and become the best selling album of his career.
  • Kravitz shows his butt in the video, which features actress Gina Gershon and model Teresa Lourenco. Directed by Paul Hunter, Gershon plays his girlfriend and Lourenco is a waitress that has him enamored. Kravitz spends most of the video dreaming about Lourenco and wondering if he'll ever see her again.
  • This was intended for an album of original songs, but Kravitz felt it didn't fit the tone of the album and allowed it to be released with his Greatest Hits.
  • This won the 2000 Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. Kravitz won the same award in 1998 and 1999 for "Fly Away" and "American Woman." Kravitz made it four in a row when he won the next year for "Dig In."

  • Ashley from Moncton, CanadaThis has one of my all-time favorite guitar solos in it, I think it's very awesome. Adn it's one of my favourite Lenny Kravitz songs.
  • Mike from Lake Hopatcong, NjThe video was shot in SoHo, NYC. The cafe featured in the video is called Cafe Habana. It's a great little cafe with amazing food on the corner of Prince and Elizabeth. I highly suggest a visit. That's if you can get in the door since there is always a line to get in. Yes, the food is that good.
  • Kurt from Downers Grove, IlThis song has a unique meaning to me. In the video, Lenny meets this girl at a coffee shop, doesn't get her number, and when he comes back, she's not there. I saw the video one morning when I was staying in New York to visit my sister (I live in Chicago). Later that day, I met this girl at the gift shop at NBC studios and we hit it off really well, but the shop closed and I forgot to get her number. As I walked the streets of New York, I remembered the video and knew that I had to go back there and try to get her number. I did, and I stayed out with her til 4 in the morning and came out for a week a couple of months later to see her. I'm glad my story didn't turn out like the video!
