  • Most songwriters remember the first song they ever penned, not all of them with affection. Noël Coward's was "Forbidden Fruit"; which survived, Dolly Parton's was "Little Tiny Tassel Top," which didn't. Les Holroyd's first song fell in between these extremes. In the December 1996 issue of the Barclay James Harvest fanzine Nova Lepidoptera it was revealed as a 1965 or 66 effort "I'm The One Who's Loving You Now"; he wrote it on the cello, and although it was never recorded, the lyrics survive. >>>
