Songfacts®:

  • This song is an ode to Liam Gallagher's girlfriend Debbie Gwyther. He told The Daily Mirror: "She sorted me right out. Me and her like having a drink. We like having a laugh. I've met my match, my soulmate. The kids love her, that's good."
  • Gallagher wrote the song with Northern Irish songwriter Iain Archer, whose other credits include Snow Patrol's "Run" and Jake Bugg's "Two Fingers."
  • This was one of eight As You Were tracks that were produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat, who has previously worked with Radiohead, Mumford and Sons, Lana Del Rey, Hurts, Tom Odell and The Vaccines. Gallagher told The Guardian about their partnership:

"I'll play him a tune very badly and he'll go, 'Yeah, I get where you're coming from' and get the acoustics down and away we go."
