Songfacts®:

  • American fashion designer Virgil Abloh died on November 28, 2021 at 41 after a two-year battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. The founder of Off-White and the Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton's menswear line, Abloh also directed music videos the likes of A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert. Both Lil Durk and Gunna became friends with Abloh through the fashion world, and here both rappers mourn the loss of the famed designer.
  • Throughout the pain-felt track, Durk talks about his struggles and betrayals while pondering the fragility of life. Gunna's verse has a braggadocios tone as he reflects on his blessings while staying loyal to his friend circle.
  • Producer Chopsquad DJ introduces a new tag at the beginning of the song, sampled from the late King Von's 2019 track, "Crazy Story 3." He was also the primary producer of King Von's Welcome to O'Block album.

Chopsquad's other credits include Juice WRLD's "Wishing Well" and Lil Durk's "Finesse Out The Gang Way."
