Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from Crunk Rock, the solo debut album by American hip-hop artist Lil' Jon. The LP was five years in the making during which he switched record labels to Universal Republic after TVT ran into financial difficulties. He told Billboard magazine that the problems with his old label was to blame for the delay. "TVT and I were going through difficulties, and then TVT fell out and went under, but even before then I was burned out and tired because I had done so many records back to back," Lil Jon said. The Florida musician went back to his roots and began spinning in clubs again. "It was pretty much two years of me just touring and deejaying and just really going back to my essence. By doing that, it gave me a newfound energy."
  • During the album's evolution the concept for Crunk Rock moved away from a mash up of crunk and rock to a far more eclectic album. Lil Jon described this song featuring Soulja Boy Tell 'Em to Billboard magazine as "crunk and swag mixed together."
  • The song features production help from Atlanta based producer/rapper Shawty Redd.
