Songfacts®:

  • Lil Mosey's first Billboard Hot 100 hit, this rap-sung hybrid finds the Seattle rapper boasting about the changes in his lifestyle now he's making money from his music.
  • The song is a remake of another cut that Mosey had made titled "Notice." DJ Twirl did the production on that one, but when the beat got copyrighted, the rapper decided it was such a banger he would remake it with his frequent collaborator Royce Davis.

Davis told Genius the original "Notice" track was slower and he felt he needed it to be fleshed out. "What I did was I pitched it up one semitone just to give it a new vibe and a little more energy," he explained. "I just chose a piano that was super anthemic. I added reverb, chorus, just to kind of spread it a little bit."
