  • This Jadakiss and Drake-featuring track finds Wayne aiming for the throne. Earlier in 2011, Jay-Z dissed Weezy's relationship with Cash Money founder Birdman during his verse on The Throne track "H.A.M.": "Baby money/Lady's money," he rapped. (Wayne and Birdman recorded an album together Like Father Like Son). Weezy responded on this song by flipping Hov's taunt and lyrically kidnapping Beyoncé for good measure. "Talkin' about baby money, I got your baby money/ Kidnap your bitch, get that how much you love your lady money," he spits. "I know you fake n----, press your brakes n----/ I'll take you out, that's a date, n----."

Wayne told Vibe magazine he is unconcerned about potential ramifications, and does not expect a response from Jay. "I know there won't be any repercussions behind what I did," he said. "I know for a fact music is about perception. You can't do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can't ever be upset about someone's reaction. I'm not going to say I don't know what would happen before I even say [something on record]," he added. "I do know what will happen. I'm aware of it. But it is what it is."
  • Speaking to DJ Funkmaster Flex on New York City radio station Hot 97, Drake discussed his mentor Lil Wayne's beef with Jay-Z, which was played out on this track. "I really just did my verse over the beat," the Canadian MC said. "I'm a soldier for Wayne, he put me here, so I did what I had to do and what he does with the song after that is completely up to him… I think Wayne, who is never afraid to step up to the plate, did what he did back and that's what hip-hop is about. I have the utmost respect for Jay, he's a brother to me."
  • The song was originally written by Drake and producer T-Minus and earmarked for the Canadian MC's Take Care album. However, after Noah "40" Shebib added a mix onto it, Wayne heard it and decided he wanted to use it for his album.
