  • Nicki Minaj jumps on this cut, which is based around the instrumentation of Kanye West's "Mercy". The Dedication 4 mixtape was released around the time Mitt Romney officially announced his nomination for the presidential election and the Queens MC raised a few eyebrows with a line that appeared to be endorsing the Republican candidate. "I'm a republican voting for Mitt Romney," she spat, "You lazy bitches is fu--in' up the economy." However, when asked by Orlando's Power 95.3 about his reaction to Minaj's rhyme, Barack Obama said that he believed her pro-Republican line was part of her act. "I'm not sure that is actually what happened," the President said. "I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But, she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there."

After hearing about Obama's comments, Minaj confirmed that she was just being sarcastic with the lyric. "Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor and sarcasm Mr. President, the smart ones always do... sends love and support," she said. "Now I can tell my grandchildren that the first black President of the United States took the time to address a Nicki Minaj question."
