• In 1998, they embarked on the "Ladies Night in Cambodia" tour, where the first 200 women to show up each night (100 in some venues) were admitted free. Clutch and Sevendust were also on the tour.
• In a Songfacts interview with Wes Borland, he explained that coming up with the band's guitar riffs isn't that hard. "The slinky sort of whammy bar-ish heavy Limp Bizkit riffs, I can just s--t those out all day long without any feeling," he said. "Those are just what sounds cool to me."
• Limp Bizkit had two #1 albums in America, but no Top 40 hits. This division between chart success and album sales demonstrates how the band was ignored by radio stations despite their popularity (airplay is a criterion for the Hot 100). They were playlist poison, since for every fervent Limp Bizkit fan there were many listeners who couldn't stand them. Their sound didn't play well alongside the traditional hits, so only the most daring Rock stations gave them any love.
• Their second album, Significant Other, sold over 7 million copies in the US and knocked the Backstreet Boys Millennium off the top spot. In the summer of 1999, those two albums dominated the chart - from June through August one of them was at #1.
• Before forming the band, Durst did a stint in the US Navy. He was medically discharged after hurting his wrist in a skateboarding accident.
• The band is from Jacksonville, Florida. They got a big break when the Korn came to town and Durst, who did some work as a tattoo artist, convinced two of their members - Fieldy and Head - to let him ink them. Durst wasn't much of a tattoo artist (Head's tattoo came out looking like "HORN" instead of "KORN"), but when he sent them a demo tape, the guys passed it on to their management, and Limp Bizkit ended up getting a record deal.
• Wes Borland is married to Carré Callaway, who is the lead singer of indie rock band Queen Kwong.
• Wes Borland founded with his wife Carré Callaway Motor Kitty Rescue, a cat rescue organization in Detroit.
• Long before Donald Trump's MAGA hat, Fred Durst popularized the red baseball cap, which many Limp Bizkit fans wore as he did: backward.

• Zero from The Abyss, NjI'm pretty sure ALL the modern mainstream rock stations played Limp Bizkit in their heyday, not the most daring. It was only the non-rock stations and the classic rock and underground/college rock stations (the latter ironically what most people would consider the most "daring") that didn't play the 'Bizkit.
