  • Lindsay Lohan is best known as an actress, with prominent roles in the movies The Parent Trap (1998), Freaky Friday (2003) and Mean Girls (2004), but at the height of her fame she released music as well, putting out albums in 2004 and 2005. Her popular songs include "Rumors," "Ultimate" and "Over."
  • Some of her songs are very personal, particularly "Confessions Of A Broken Heart (Daughter To Father)," which deals with her parents' divorce. Lohan co-wrote that song and directed the heart-rending music video.
  • Lohan's life was on display at a young age because she was a child star. It got a lot more intense in 2005 when she became a magnet for the paparazzi, who followed her on nights out to clubs. She was just 18, but was welcomed at trendy spots, where he was often seen with her friend Paris Hilton.

In 2007 she entered rehab for the first time and was arrested for DUI. A pattern of alcohol-related incidents, arrests and subsequent press attention developed. It wasn't until 2013 that it finally abated, and in 2015 she got sober. The press attention contributed to her troubles, but Lohan took the blame, telling Oprah Winfrey in 2013: "I'm my own worst enemy."
  • Before she was a famous actress, appeared in lots of TV commercials, showing up in spots for The Gap, Jell-O, Pizza Hut and many other brands.
  • Lohan's first recurring acting role was on the soap opera Another World, where she played Alli Fowler starting in 1996 when she was just 10 years old. She left the show the following year after landing the lead role in The Parent Trap.
  • Lohan cultivated a party girl image when she was a teenager living on her own in Los Angeles. She later admitted to seeking tabloid attention to increase her visibility. This culminated in a 2006 photo of her, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears in a car during a night out.
  • In The Parent Trap she played twins (Hallie and Annie) with different accents. Most of the scenes where they both appeared had to be shot twice and then composited. Lohan earned high acclaim for pulling it off.
  • She covered Cheap Trick's "I Want You To Want Me" on her 2005 album A Little More Personal (Raw), changing the line "shine up my old brown shoes" to "shine up my high-heel shoes."
  • She moved to Dubai around 2014. That's where she met Bader Shammas, whom she married in 2022. They had a son, Luai, in 2023.
  • Most of the songs she's released since 2006 are associated with her acting roles. In 2022 she released a new version of "Jingle Bell Rock" for her Netflix film Falling for Christmas; in 2025 she contributed a song called "Baby" to her film Freakier Friday.
