Songfacts®:

  • This is the lead single by the British Synth-Pop singer-songwriter Little Boots (real name Victoria Hesketh), off her second studio album Nocturnes. The co-founder of DFA Records, Tim Goldsworth, produced the record. Hesketh explained that the disc is titled that way because it is "an album indebted to the night."
  • This track was released on February 25, 2013 as a free download from Little Boots' website. Hesketh told NME it is about "escaping from the grim north to the shiny lights of London."
