Songfacts®:

  • Over a simple, strumming guitar, Little Mix comfort a heartbroken friend regarding a boy who was "just playing pretend." They invite their dejected pal 'round their place for the evening, telling her they've got "wine and make-up wipes." The girls also throw in a few sassy jabs at the ex in question, with Leigh-Ann insisting that his best friend was hotter than him.

"If there was a song on the album to define us it would be this one... true friendship," Little Mix posted on Instagram. "No matter what we'll always look out for each other."
  • The song was written by:

South Londoner Rachel Keen, who records under the name Raye. She is best known for singing on the UK Top 20 hits "By Your Side" by Jonas Blue and "You Don't Know Me" by Jax Jones. Raye also had her own hit single with "Decline" (feat Mr Eazi) in 2017.

London-born, Nigerian-descended Uzoechi Emenike (aka MNEK) previously contributed to Little Mix's hit singles "Wings" and "Touch." He had an international hit under his own name in 2015 with the Zara Larsson duet "Never Forget You." MNEK also produced "Told You So."

Dutch singer and songwriter Eyelar Mirzazadeh, who is known professionally as "Eyelar." After kickstarting her career on The Voice of Holland 2012 she has gone on to pen songs with or for the likes of Charli XCX ("After the Afterparty") and Camila Cabello ("Scar Tissue"). She also has a writing credit on the Little Mix track "Is Your Love Enough?"
  • This was the first song that Little Mix heard for LM5. Jade Thirlwall told Billboard they fell in love with the demo straight away and thought "If the rest of the album sounds like this, we'll be very happy."
