Songfacts®:

  • This tumble-in-the-sheets tune is the first single from American R&B artist Lloyd's fourth album King of Hearts. It was his first release after signing to Zone 4, a joint venture between producer Polow da Don and Interscope Records.
  • Polow da Don produced this song. Lloyd paid tribute to the hitmaker in an interview with MTV News: "He's dedicated," the singer said. "The greatest thing about Polow is there's no amount of time that's unnecessary when it comes to making something the best, whether it takes two days or two months for one track. I've seen Polow sit with one song for six days and perfect it. You can hear the difference in the quality against someone else's music. It sounds completely different."
  • The song samples Patti LaBelle's "Love, Need and Want You," which was a 1984 single from her album Love Again.
