Songfacts®:

  • Logic combines "Flex" and "Execution" to come up with a new word that means the execution of his haters, while flexing on them. He explained on Twitter that it's "a term and funny made up word for killing s--t."
  • The song was first teased during a video interview on April 5th 2016. Logic also played the same snippets at various shows during his Incredible World Tour and fans quickly demanded the release of the tune. The #DropFlexicution tag led to many memes on the topic. Logic finally dropped the track on June 13, 2016.
  • Logic's vocalist wife, Jess Andrea, joins him on the outro. She has previously featured on songs with him such as the Under Pressure track "I'm Gone."
