  • Logic has been engaged in a longstanding feud with Joyner Lucas ever since the pair appeared on Tech N9ne's 2016 track "Sriracha." Since then, Joyner has sent repeated shots toward the Maryland rapper on various tracks. Speaking on Complex's web show Everyday Struggle, the Massachusetts native explained his beef with Logic, saying, "I think he can rap. But I feel like he tries to prove that he's black too much for me."

During his lone verse on "Yuck," Logic unleashes multiple bars aimed at his competition. The widespread interpretation is that the rhymes are directed at Joyner Lucas, albeit in a subliminal manner.

Talkin' s--t 'bout Logic, I never respond
I'll let success talk, 'cause a word of advice:
More achievements for yourself and less talk
Cats beef with Logic, yeah, they prayin' I respond
If I ever did, I dead you in this game with no respawn
Peace, love, and positivity, that's all I want with you
But you push the issue 'cause I give you more press than your publicist could ever get you

However, in an interview with HardKnockTV, Logic denied the song is a retort to Joyner Lucas' feuding, but is more of a general response to all the rappers in the industry who are beefing him:

"It's not a diss song. If it was a diss song, I'd say somebody's name… this is probably the closest [I'm] ever going to have. I would never do that. It's not who I am. This is the closest I would ever diss the entire industry that talks s--t about me. Every single person in one, that's it. I would never focus on one person, or one thing or one that because I feel sorry for anyone who would try to beef with me. It's like, what's the point? It's funny to me. Me and my homies, we just clown, like, I don't even know any of these people."
