  • Loick Essien is a R&B artist from Fulham, London. Essien attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School, whose other famous alumni include Emma Bunton, Leona Lewis and Amy Winehouse. He began his musical career in 2008, when he appeared on rapper Chipmunk's debut single "Beast." Essien released his debut solo single "Love Drunk" in the United Kingdom on October 12, 2010 through Sony Music, where it debuted at #57 in the UK chart. This is his second single, which was released on February 6, 2011.
  • The song features R&B/Grime group N-Dubz. Essien told MTV UK how he hooked up with the trio: "I was in New York recording the song with Stargate. They are producers that have produced some serious smashes, and we were together working on the song. Everyone in the studio was going crazy about it. I said I think what we needed was a featured artist, and it was kind of going around in my brain thinking who do I want and Dappy sprung to mind. Dappy is someone that I really respect as an artist. I got someone to make the call, and he said he was down because he was a fan of my music. It was really cool to know that he was a fan, and that he really wanted to do it as well. I think he came out and recorded his part, because they were about to sign their deal with Def Jam out in New York, so while they were over they came to the studio and recorded his part. It was amazing."
  • Only Dappy and Fazer appear in the single's accompanying music video as N Dubz leading lady Tulisa was tied up filming for a movie.
