  • Lorine Talhaoui is a Swedish Pop singer and music producer, who records under the name of Loreen. Raised on the countryside outside Stockholm, in a family of Moroccan-Berber origin, she spent most of her teenage years in Västerås, a city in central Sweden. Interested in becoming a musician, Loreen became known to Swedish audiences after taking part in the country's Idol 2004 television competition, competing as Lorén Talhaoui and coming fourth overall. The following year she released her first single, "The Snake", with the band Rob'n'Raz and became a presenter on the television station TV400. She then stepped out of the limelight, working as a segment producer and director for several Swedish reality TV shows. Loreen returned to the public eye in 2011 when she competed to represent her native country at Eurovision with the song "My Heart Is Refusing Me." She was eliminated at the semi-final stage but the song became a hit reaching #9 on the Swedish Singles Chart.

The following year Loreen entered the Swedish national song contest again. This time her song "Euphoria" won with 34.57% of the vote, qualifying her for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 held at Baku, Azerbaijan. She won the competition with a total of 372 points, receiving points from 40 of the voting 42 countries. Apart from her home nation, the only other country that did not award any points was Italy.
  • This song was co-written and produced by Peter Boström, who is also known as Bassflow. The Swedish music producer had a mixed evening at Eurovision. He not only contributed to the winning entry, but he also co-wrote the Norwegian entry "Stay", which placed last with only 7 points.
