  • On November 26, 2018 Parlophone Records announced a mysterious new signing to their rooster: Los Unidades. The label posted a shadowy picture of the act on Twitter prompting fans to point out that the four silhouettes bore a striking resemblance to a distorted version of an old Coldplay press shot.

    When their first song, "E-Lo," was released a couple of days later, it clearly bore the DNA of Chris Martin and co.
  • The Afro-beat track is a collaboration with Pharrell Williams and Memphis hip-hop artist Jo'zzy. It was produced by The Neptunes.
  • "E-Lo" was released as the lead single from the Global Citizen EP 1. Proceeds from the record are being donated towards Global Citizen's efforts to end global poverty. Global Citizen is an organization with the goal of ending extreme poverty by 2030 and Chris Martin is the curator of the charity's annual music festival.
  • The lyric video was inspired by Nelson Mandela. It marks the centenary year of the former South African leader's birth.
