Songfacts®:

  • Loud Luxury are Canadian production duo Andrew Fedyk and Joe Depace, who met at university. Moving to LA the pair first gained recognition with their remix of the Martin Garrix single "Scared To Be Lonely," which was included on the remix EP.
  • Loud Luxury hooked up with vocalist Brando to record their first original single "Body." Released through Armin van Buuren's record label Armada Music, the party-themed song became an international hit.
  • The song was originally a hip-hop demo that Brando played to Loud Luxury. The Canadian duo was not impressed, but they still saw some potential in the recording. Fedyk and Depace recalled to Billboard:

"It was much slower and we all agreed it was a bit silly because it was in this DJ Mustard, strip-club anthem vibe. However, we were always excited about his vocals on it so we took it home and basically flipped the whole idea on its head. As soon as we sped it up a bit and put more emotional chords under the track, it felt amazing."
