Songfacts®:

  • "Stick The Kettle On" is about making sure you are looking after yourself and your friends. The song is a duet with Scouting for Girls singer Roy Stride. The Sun asked Lucy Spraggan how they teamed up. She replied:

"I kept seeing Roy at festivals then I went into a writing session with him and asked, 'Do you fancy doing a duet? We wanted to write about being friends and stick the kettle on is something you say most days."
  • The song was made in collaboration with CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). The charity was launched in March 2006 with the purpose of bringing the suicide rate down among young men.
