Songfacts®:

  • "Doomsday Pt. 2" follows on from the first "Doomsday" on Lyrical Lemonade's All Is Yellow album. Eminem drops a single verse where he roasts hip-hop executive, rapper, and The Source publisher Benzino for his cash flow problems and lack of stature. These two have been at each other's throats since 2003, when Benzino dropped a diss track aimed at the Detroit legend. Zino acted like the beef was done in March 2022, but he couldn't stop jabbing at Em in public. Now Eminem is reigniting the feud.
  • Guess that Coi Leray feat's in the toilet, ayy?
Damage due to flows, collateral, I s'pose

Benzino is the father of the rapper/singer Coi Leray. Eminem's making it crystal clear that by dissing Leray's old man, he's putting a wrench in any potential collabs with her.

Right after the track hit the airwaves, Coi Leray fired back on Twitter, saying she's over the whole rap beef scene. She's not here to play referee between two grown men stuck in a decades-long feud.
  • This marks Eminem's third team-up with Cole Bennett. The Lyrical Lemonade founder previously cooked up visuals for Em's Music To Be Murdered By tracks "Godzilla" in January 2020 and "Gnat" in December 2020.
  • Both "Doomsday" and "Doomsday Pt. 2" ride on the same sample from Eminem's 1999 The Slim Shady track, "Role Model."
  • Shot by Cole Bennett, the music video starts off with Eminem emerging from a yellow curtain in a black suit, buttoned-down shirt and a yellow tie. The Rap God walks through a chaotic office scene but remains unfazed. Big Sean, BabyTron, Teezo Touchdown, Denzel Curry, JID, Cordae and Swae Lee all make cameos.
