Songfacts®:

  • Maddie Marlow penned this song about her boyfriend, Jonah, whom she's been dating since high school. Speaking to Glamour in a 2015 interview, she explained. "We hit our three-year mark in May, and he just moved to Nashville, where he's going to school. I think we finished the song in an hour-and-a-half - it just really spoke to me. If I play it in the car, Jonah gets all red-faced and giddy. It's one of those sweet, innocent love songs. It doesn't even have to be about a significant other."
